Default Testing IMG posting

Just wanted to see if IMG posting worked on this forum. I kinda got tired of having to click on uploaded links to see photos.

EDIT - YUP it works. Wish more folks used it.

I found the 1MB limit kind of silly. I'm hosting my pics myself.

IMG will work here just fine. The problem is that the IMG code is turned off in the model specific forums. Check down on the lower left of the page. On this one, you see IMG code is On. In the 2003-2008 or 2009-2011 forums, IMG is Off.

I tried pointing this out to the admin two months ago, even posted screen shots. It still hasn't been fixed.

new forum look

I usually upload my photos to Photobucket, then grab the IMG code from the photo I want - and paste it to the forum thread.

If I'm stealing a photo from another website - I copy the URL, then usually there is an IMG tool - that I can click - then paste the URL into - and it works on the forum.

Not sure why IMG would be turned off on any forum - I can't see it as a security risk?

If the users used IMG, it would save a lot of time and a fair bit of aggravation to have to keep clicking on uploaded image files.

As for a 1mb limit - I'm trying to figure out why you would need a file that large? For screen viewing - you don't really need high res - unless I'm missing something?

thanks!

u got a nice ride mate
about imagehosting, u have tons of sites to upload pics to for free with no limits on size or bandwidths.
U might try out some sites such as : imageshack.us, tinypic.com, imgur.com, pixtreat.com & so on...
usually most sites allow only thumbnails though except a few ones who have started allowing full size hotlinking in the recent months
