I finally got around installing the Kits on to the vehicle. Take a look at some pictures.
Honda Pilot 2003 Updated link May 11th 2009 Here is a look at the un boxing of the Philips H4 4300K HID kits from Xenon Depot. I paid $290 with shipping, the receipt says $79 :P Ok - I have not added a few other close ups of the bulb .. no mention of philips there ... just check it and let me know if they are actually philips! View the pictures here

the kit itself looks legit so far, although i am curious about the $79 claimed value after you paid $290. can you post some close-up shots of the bulbs? do they have 'Philips' inscribed anywhere on the base?

To me, they look generic I don't think they are original Phillips
they just grabed a labelmaker and made a label Phillips labe. If you got proof of how much you paid you should complain because I think somebody else got the rest of you money in their pocket...

the bulbs look genuine, but since they have been rebased you probably won't see 'Philips' imprinted on the bulb base itself. take a look and compare genuine Philips bulbs with the Xenondepot Philips bulbs and notice the similarities in bulb shape and design:
mustafayusuf's Xenondepot Bulb: Xenondepot Philips Bulb Genuine Philips Germany Bulb: ![]() IMO, the bulbs are indeed genuine, but of course i'm not 100% certain. if they can be proven to be true Philips bulbs, then the price is fair.

if you can wait I would return them and make sure I get all my money back,
See, I don't know why xenondepot is popular, but to me just by browsing thru their web I can see, thier HID's are cheap because of their low quality. Just try this web..http://www.xtralights.com/

i wouldn't return them just yet. see if you can get them to prove that the bulbs are genuine Philips. yes, they used a labelmaker to label the plastic box the bulb was stored in, but that doesn't mean the bulb itself is not genuine.
to charly: the products i see on the website you posted don't look any higher in quality than xenondepot, or any other aftermarket HID website. their prices are just way higher. they don't even offer Philips components!

It may look the same to you but I bought my hid's there and I can see the difference. And does the ballast says where it was made and does the bulb..?

I got the H4 6k Hi/Lo Hid's from DDM TUNING.
Could you post pics of your cut off? XD is legit, but I think $300 is way too much for HID kits these days. You can easily find $80 kits that are reliable and good quality. My H4 Hi/Lo's were $70 +$25 for Hi/Lo w/ harness. I've had it for 8 months with no problems.

Well, I did not know better at that time. In fact, I was a little suspicious when I received a UPS invoice for $79.00 in my mail along with the kit. I confirmed this with the guys over here, but they seemed to give me conflicting views. I didn't care as much since I had already paid $290 with shipping. Since I was impatient about this installation of the kit and I have been waiting for having the lights on my vehicle for a long time, I did not bother about calling them and asking them for a refund. Also, I purchased Philips bulbs, so, i believe it might be expensive for that reason. Who know, it's too late to care anyways.
I will post pictures of everything including how I installed it and where I mounted everything in the hood. Used nothing but plastic ties. I haven't got an opportunity to take pictures yet, but you can check out the rest of the stuff on my page at mustafayusuf.com and check the picture section, I will update that soon. Also, one main point, if you can tell me, are you able to turn on the high beam? I know it's not needed, but seems a bit annoying when I want to use it I can't Cheers
