Smile New Pilot Owner- Howdy All

After spending several weeks looking at different mid-sized SUVs I finally pulled the trigger on a new 2006 Pilot EXL RES. I traded in a 2002 Eddie Bauer Explorer. So far I like the V6 MUCH better than the explorer V8. This will be a work in progress but I just added my first accessory. New Wheels! I searched everywhere I could on the web and almost every post here to see if anyone had the TSW Kayalami wheels in Hyper Black, but found nothing. I am not in to the "bling", but want a clean look.

The new TSWs installed:

Now, should I go with BLACK or CHROME Side Steps?
Opinions?

Welcome to hp.org! Nice Pilot!

I personally found that at 6'2" sidesteps or running boards would hinder me, but if you must, go with black tubes in keeping with the subtle Bling of those sweet wheels.

Congrats and welcome.

If you are not into bling, I'd go with black sidesteps - another plus, they would let the wheels stand out Chrome would compete for visual attention

Personally, I would go with chrome (actually I did ) - it's not really that much bling and it's a nice contrast but it's really personal preference. Attached is another members SBP with chrome steps for reference.

Very nice rims. just curious, if u r changing the rim, why not go 17~18"?
is it because u want to re-use the OEM tire?

It was about 50/50. I dont think they look bad and I'm not going for a low profile look. Also wanted to keep the OEM tire diameter and didnt think it was worth the money for an inch or two of wheel. Maybe the next go around.

The next purchases...

*Will do for sure:
Mr. Wongs Pilot Pads (already ordered)
Service Manual
Cargo mat
Window Tint
Side Steps (leaning toward black)

*Considering:
Blackout Taillights

man, I don't like very many wheels I see around but I really like those a lot. If I were thinking about getting new ones I would definitely put those at the top of my list!

IMHO you should go with black steps, or chrome bars, but for the first with bigger wheel. yours shine like 14"
