Default My new baby!

I am very happy to have finally gotten my honda pilot this past week. I have been waiting for about 4 years to get it. I wasn't able to afford it until now.

Just yesterday I also got the Lojack Early Warning system installed on it. Anyone else use this yet? I think it doesn't come with the audiable alarm or the engine cut off, or does it? I am gonna need to research and get those additions added.

Thanks!

Congrats and welcome to H-P.org. One accessory you should get is the Pilot Pads from WWong. They protect and keep items quiet and from sliding around.

I actually have been on hondapilot.org since 2004. Been wanting the pilot for sooooo long!

The lojack install was done after the purchase. I only paid 990 for the lojack early warning system. The guy came out yesterday and did it for me at my location.

Make sure you register and set up contacts for the Early Warning System, and take a drive without the keypass to make sure it works. The system in my RX 330 did not work properly initially, even though it would pass diagnostics, but Lojack replaced the entire system and got it working.

At my work in Tyson's Corner I'm in an area where the Early Warning System works, but here in Manassas there appears not to be any coverage for the early warning part, but the rest of the system works fine. I can leave work with the battery in the keypass removed, and get contacted by LoJack in sometimes less than 15 minutes. I can drive around Manassas all day without the keypass, and never hit a tower that picks up the early warning signal.

I hope the system like wwong has, NetworkCar I believe, is more widely available when I make my next purchase. I'd probably go that route, as that system puts a beacon in the car, and you can track its location over the Internet.
