Default My Project pilot with 20" Forge wheels and a bunch of other vehicles...

So its coming along nicely, here's a list of mods I've done so far...

-OEM Fender Flares
-HID Headlights
-Euro Blacked out Tailights
-Custom Grille
-20" x 8.5" RonJon Sport Design Devotion-1pF Forged Wheels (21 lbs ea)
-275/45/20 Falken Tires
-Valet Remote Start system

Mods on order:
-Westen Sport accent chrome nerf bars
-Westin Safari light bar with HID (8000k, blue-violet) Fogs
-Front Hood bug guard
-Slightly Blue tinted headlight protective film
-Custom cleared and blacked out headlight housings
-Custom Exhaust piping
-Aluminum Dash Kit
-Body colored Painted Mud Guards
-black painted calipers

So I told myself I wouldn't Mod the Familly hauler, but having my own Aftermarket Wheel and Aerodynamic company dedicated to honda and Acura vehicles prompted me to hook up the Pilot. It wasn't getting any easier finding the Pilot in full parking lots these days.

So here are the current pics, but once all is done, i will show progress.

Here's my personal car which is getting revamped completly with new wheels and a new kit...

Here's a customer's car featuring our company's body kit and wheels:

Hah, you reminded me, i'm looking to see if the CL's BBK from Rotora will fit the Pilot, if not, i'll just do Black painted calipers. As long as I stay away from Suspension and Engine performance mods, the Pilot should be fine.

40 mm pffset, and I have fender flares, so the tires line up perfectly without poking out like a lowrider. And I checked suspension clearnce with the 275 tires, got about one full inch of clearance. I wouldn't suggest going wider than 275 anyway.
Here is a view of the Offset on the car:

Well......to quote my wife "one man's trash is another man's treasure." The Acura just looks like just another upscale rice rocket and the Pilot looks totally ridiculous with those wheels. The Pilot is supposed to have some sort of off road ability. Now it looks like it would get stuck in a mud puddle. Sorry, that look isn't for me.

To each his own, but in all honesty, this pilot will never see off road, and the OEM wheels are just Minivan spec wheels off the Odysey. These Forged monoblock wheels only weigh 21 lbs, as opposed to other 20" wheels that weigh in at 30+ lbs, So its not all just show. Every SUV doesn't have to be an offroader, becasue if thats what your into, The Pilot isn't your first choice.

The other Acura CL is def not a rice rocket, its not plastered with stickers and weird color scheems, not does it have some organic lookign designer wheels, these wheels mean business and the kit is being revamped. Its just insulting the way you expressed yourself. I'm sure if you posted something you worked on, I could find some negative things to say. But like my wife says, if you have nothing good to say...

BTW, We all know what Pontiacs are good for.

Is this the Ron of ronjon wheels? If so, glad to have you on the .org. I've read about you and your new company in magazines like sport compact/super street etc. I think your wheels are hot and have thought about a set for my Civic and or CRX.

The Pilot and the car both look good, clean lines and not ricey at all. I live in the bay area, believe me, I've seen some riced out sh!t.

Awww......... perhaps I was a little harsh. However I just don't see the point with the Pilot, adding nerf bars and a light bar which are off road features. I don't pretend my Pilot is anymore than it is. If I want to off road I have my Jeep cj.

The job you have done on your Acura is clean.....kinda stealthy, clean lines, I do like it's looks but those oversized exhausts that you could probably fit a 2 liter Coke bottle into.......well that just screams "rice rocket".

The Pontiac is a Toyota Matrix by another name. It's my wife's and it came with one of those oversized exhaust tips too!

Yeah, thats me, theres a few writeups on this page too, about the company.
http://www.ronjonwheels.com/press.html
Just a hardcore honda/Acura enthusiasts who previously worked in the industry with alot of big companies, was pissed that I love Acura and Honda, but there were no perfect fitting wheels or aero kits, so i started my own company. Anyway, I do admit, the exhasut is a bit overdone, but hey, its the 1% ricer in me.

The Pilot is just so damn common over here in NY, and I wasn't about to just leave the wheels stock, otherwise, the rest of the Pilot is just about visual styling, rather than functional offroading, hence the 20" wheels which serve no other purpose but to stand apart from the OEM wheels. And they are full polished, not chrome, so I guess that is less bling than most would knock.

I'm here for personal reasons, to soak up all the info on my Pilot, which I love. I just wish there were more options in modding the thing. might have to make some products, like real aluminum skid plates to replace the gray plastic guards from the factory.

No offence taken jdeanski, I am well aware of the ricers and ghetto fabulous SUVs out there, def not trying to show that kind of style, just classy hooked up hondas and Acuras for me.

Very clean looking! Do you know of or carry any other wheels with similar offsets and lip size? Also, wheels that are not polished? On another note.....is that a leaf on your back bumper?

We will be creating a new wheel, a 19" and 20" with a full face and same lip size. those will be available in chrome only for the Ridgeline, Pilot, MDX, CRV amd RDX.
The spokes on this wheel will be more full, more luxury, but with the same light weight of our current forged wheel. 20" x 8.5" should weigh between 21-22 lbs which is seriously lightweight, and won't affect braking or acceleration.

lol, thats a toy ant my 2 year old son set on the bumper when I wasn't looking.
