Default Anyone try different lighting in their '06's

I've been starting so many threads lately due mostly to my new '06. I picked up some Silver Stars the other day for it even though I swore I would never buy them again. I guess with getting free replacements under warrantee every six months, it's worth it. This time, in the '06's they're a different bulb.

What I was wondering was whether or not anyone has tried another type of bulb than what Honda is supplying? I do like the new bulb configuration in the '06's. However the HID in place of the Low Beam bulb would look incredible with the type of lense they have put there for the Low Beam. It screams "Put an HID in me!!!!".

Okay, I know... before anyone posts "This thread is worthless without Pics", I'll be putting my pictures up in the morning of the lights in their different positions.

I've now had a chance to install my Silverstars into the '06. I only changed the driver's side low beam. Interestingly enough, I can't see any difference in terms of the whiteness/quality of the light with the new bulb. I will check tonight after I have had a chance to do the comparison on the garage door/wall.

Got mine for only $260.00 from vision bulbs. There is a groupbuy at acuramdx.org for only $250.00 with express shipping included. Hurry before the group buy ends!

I haven't followed the HID very much. What is the life expectancy of the bulbs? How expensive are the replacements?

Hey OnHonda11.

I was reading your earlier posts and you say you got silverstars for your '06 Pilot Low beams. I was wondering where you purchased yours at? I haven't been able to find an H11 size silverstar anywhere.

Thanks

Actually, I made a mistake and purchased the wrong bulbs. I have yet to take them back and haven't had the chance to do any more research. I'm waiting to see about the HID bulbs as I think they would look amazing with the '06 set up.

So are there Silverstars for the H11's?

I can't find anything on the Sylvania website about Silverstars that match up with an H11 bulb.

Any info would be appreciated.

Unfortunately they don't make Silversars in an H11 size yet. Onhonda11 made a mistake. Who knows if Sylvania will make this size or not.
