Congrats and welcome to hondapilot.org!

The running boards are fairly easy to install, as I installed mine myself. Only took a couple of hours. I did not have a torque wrench. I made sure not to over tighten the bolts as a couple of members reported that they had damaged the bolt by mistakingly over tightening. Not a bad idea to rent or purchase a torque wrench if you ask me.

You should also do the rear mud flaps at your earliest convenience also. They are very easy 30 min install tops. Just make sure you have a "S shaped" screwdriver (aka offset screwdriver).

Silver is a very popular color on the Pilot, and that's probably cause it looks so sharp. Welcome again to the forums...

Default looks good

I checked out the 05 when we picked up our 04. It was a black ex-l with nav. Very nice but out of our price range.

I too purchased the Silver '05 EX-L RES. We had a white '03, but traded it last week and love the new car (and color)! Welcome to HondaPilot.org!

Congrats on your new Pilot. Thanks for posting a picture of your new toy. By doing so...you avoided the infamous smiley.

BTW, welcome to h-p.org.

Welcome and congrats.

I would not get too excited about the running boards unless you have small kids. They are not very useful for adults and will tend to get the back of your pants dirty when you exit the vehicle. I have them but as soon as my two kids are grown, off they go!

Thanks everybody, really enjoying our new pilot. I installed running boards, crossbars, all weather mats and read mudgards over the weekend.
