Default CEL P2422 - Honda Pilot 2008

Hi all,

I have a 2008 Pilot. After a week being away on vacation, CEL came shortly after I drove the car. Code is P2422. I cleared it twice in two days, but it comes back after driving it after 3-4 miles, so I am assuming the light is legit.

Autozone scanner showed the following message when I pulled the code second time:

P2422 ENG
"Evaporative Emission System Vent vavle closed".

I have searched the this forum and internet; and while not directlly related to a Pilot, most of the information point to a stuck evap canister vent shut valve. Some say there could be debris, vaccum leak, or the valve needs to be replaced.

I don't know where this valve is or how to go about troubleshooting/fixing the problem. Any help with information, pictures, or links would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance
A

Update on this:

Ended up changing FILTER, DUST - 2008 HONDA PILOT (17330-S9V-A01).

Once done reset CEL, and relearn the computer by running the car at 3000 rpm for 3 min (until fan goes one), and let it idle for 5 min.

Very easy to change.

It is part #4 in the diagram, and mine came with the O -ring (# 25). They say not to lubricate the O-ring.

I have changed it a week ago, and after 300 + miles, CEL has not come back.
