I searched for a few days and found some similar issues but nothing that had my issue and a fix for it. So here it goes....
I have a 2007 Honda Pilot fully loaded. 55k miles. The drivers side passenger door lock only works manually. When I use the lock and unlock button on the remote, it will not engage the drivers side passenger door. The window rolls up and down but even while in the car, using the drivers side door unlock/lock button, the door will not unlock or lock. So I can only engage it manually. Any thoughts, trouble shooting, or a link? Thanks. |

It sounds like the electrical actuator is not working or is not mechanically connected to the lock. It could be the actuator, linkage to the lock, or an electrical problem. Inspect the linkage, check that the actuator is moving and if not, that it is getting both power and has a good connection to ground. If it’s not getting power it could be a loose connection, look at the switch on the door and trace out where it is losing power. Be sure to check the ground connection! If it all checks out, replace the actuator. An automotive test lamp would be very handy if you don’t have vom.
