I just got a 2006 Pilot for my first car and was wondering what the best way to connect my ipod to the radio. Radio adapters don't work great where I live due to the lack of signal what is the best alternative without spending a lot of money?
Thanks, Bryan |

I've got a USA Spec in my 2004 pilot. They make one for the 06.
www.usaspec.com. part number is PA15-HON2 I put the USA Spec box in my glove box and ran the cable behind and up to the head unit. Plugs into the CD changer port on the head unit I believe. PA15-HON2 |

If you have the stereo with XM radio, and assuming you aren't subscribing to XM radio, then you can splice the audio input wires from the XM receiver and solder in your ipod minijack instead. This way, you simply push the XM radio button when you want to listen to your ipod.
This is what I did and it works great. No need to buy anything other than a minijack connector (or cut off the headphones off old headphones you already have). |

I have a Blitzsafe iPod adapter for sale listed in the classifieds. It was buried a few pages back though.
See my listing here.

The website says that it "will not" work with the factory DVD / RES.....
So.....does anybody know if there is an adaptor that will work with the RES equipped 2004 Pilots?.... Thanks.....

I was also interested in this product, as I have a 2005 Pilot EX-L, no nav, no RES...
USA SPEC: iPod Interfaces Says it's not compatible with in-dash 6 CD changer, as it probably needs to occupy that connection. I'm willing to give up the in-dash 6 CD changer if I have an Ipod/IPad/Aux connection, but would still like at least a single CD player for when my wife listens to audiobooks on CD from the library. If I unplug the 6 CD changer, does the single CD player slot work on the radio again? I'm thinking there are dip switch settings for this. Does anyone have experience with this? thanks in advance! |
