No rubbing issues with 245's. and the Toyo have lots of tread depth, great ride, price and wear.

Ah, you must have a 2012 or 2013, then - otherwise, why would you need any "other sizes" for a Honda Pilot?

Yes, but let N_Jay answer - otherwise we won't know the relevance of his post here.
Maybe he's confusing this place with some diesel Mercedes 4x4 forum.

I have my Michelin LTX M/S on my '04 and love them. Very dependable tire and great in all weather conditions as well. I rotate them on a regular basis and will probably be a repeat buyer when the time is due for replacements.

Looking for tire for a different SUV.

Yep, that is about it.

Although, maybe it was brain fade, but I though the CrossTerrains were replaced with some other name tire even when I last looked for Pilot tires.

EDIT:
Yep, just looked, only 5 sizes still for sale.

I believe that 03 to 08 had 235 70R16, and in 09 they changed to the 245 65R17. On my 04, the main reason I changed to the 245 70R16 was just personal preference. The tire is only somewhere around a 1/2 in diameter larger and when the speedometer reads 60 your really going 61 or 61.5 But I think the ride is better and the tire fills up the wheel well a little more and looks better. IMO

Costco still sells the CrossTerrain in certain sizes, too.
The CrossTerrain has pretty much been replaced with various tires under the Latitude brand name.

If you're looking for tires for a Mercedes GL, bring lots of cash and be prepared for a limited selection from which to choose.

18" wheels, no Run-Flat, moderate load rating. Plenty of choices.

Do not buy General Grabbers, mine are down to 3/32 after 36k miles.

If it's for an 07/08 GL with 265/60R18, there still aren't many choices in an all-season tire, with, at minimum, the OEM "H" speed rating and a decent treadwear rating.
Bridgestone Dueler H/L Alenza, Goodyear Assurance CS Fuel Max, Nitto Dura Grappler - and what else?
You could sacrifice a bit of treadlife and go with the Nokian WRG2 SUV and get better winter traction without having to swap tires.

Tire Rack finds 22, and there are a few others that are OK.

I am leaning towards Michelins and they have a few others that the Tire Rack system does not pick up but will work fine.

Of those 22, 3 are winter tires, 2 are all-terrain tires, 1 is a summer-only tire, 5 have treadwear ratings of 300 or less and the Michelin is duplicated - so you're really down to about 10 and some of those are fairly old designs.
