Default Things that make you go hmmmmmmmm....Aux Input

My wife and I both have 2008 Honda's, her's is a Pilot with Nav, Sat Radio and Backup Camera, mine is a Ridgeline with Nav, Sat Radio but NO Backup Camera.

My Ridgeline also has a nice AUX Input mounted by the glovebox, owners manual says it only comes with NAV equipped vehicles . The darling wife plugs her iPOD into it when she rides with me.

I've searched here and it doesn't appear that there is anything behind the stereo in her Pilot to plug-in to add the AUX Input jack functionality to her vehicle.

Other than the Backup Camera her 2008 Pilot and my 2008 Ridgeline are identical but I have the Aux Input jack.

Is it possible there might be an additional port on her stereo?
Perhaps just NAV equipped stereo's?

Hate to get into pulling everything apart to find I did the dumbstuff.... again...............

I'm not sure if there were any changes between 2005 and 2008, but I've seen the Pilot navs from 2005 and there is nothing on the back but a factory harness spot. No input or anything. It's an Alpine unit, and you could check for a pin-out diagram to see if that wire harness has some aux in line, but then you would need the NAV to accept it in some way.

For kicks and giggles I looked up the back of each unit. I don't know here the input is on the ridgeline so maybe the pilot model can accept it, i just don't know how.

Thanks for the detailed reply with pic's

I need to research the available upgrades, I know she'd also like bluetooth for her cell phone.

Like to find something that did the aux input/i-whatever and phone bluetooth that integrates with the existing NAV screen and stereo vs swapping out the NAV screen and radio for a kenwood, alpine, etc unit.

I just went with a Clarion NX500 in both of my pilots. Cheap and came with a backup cam.
