hello, this might be a dumb question but here goes.
i have an 06 pilot with oem side steps that i installed. after installing them i wondered how a place like America's Tire would lift the Pilot to install new tires? it seems like the lift they use would try to lift the Pilot using the side step brackets.

They would life on the car's sills just like they would if the car did not have steps on.

so you don't think the brackets would get in the way? they just seem to protrude so far down... see attached pic. edit: i should clarify that america's tire has one of those lifts that you drive over and two long "forks" lift your vehicle up. it's not like costo, where they have 4 adjustable points that lift your vehicle up. When I had tires replaced at America's tires, they used floor jacks to lift our 05 pilot with side steps. I saw them used their lift on other vehicles, but not on the pilot, maybe because of the side steps.

Honda service and Discount tire both have used lifts for my Pilot with running boards. I have had several SUVs and trucks with running boards or side steps they have all gone up on lifts without any issues.

^This. They should see the difference and jack the car accordingly. If your worried about it, just keep an eye on them. Request they use floor jacks if they try putting it on a frame lift.

Most lifts have adjustable end arms to position at the closest frame location. I know Conrads and Costco has them.
