Hi There,
I'm interested in putting on a roof rack onto my 2003 Pilot LX (did not come with factory roof rails). I've read up on other threads and understand the process to install and the availability of aftermarket OEM racks (priced at around $250-$300) on-line. A local salvage yard has a 2004 EX pilot with the rack for around $100. I'm wondering if I can simply pull this rack off and install it onto my LX. As I understand it there are threaded mounts hidden underneath the rubber seal that runs along the top of the roof that should accept the hardware that attaches the roof rails and all I would need to do would be to cut and remove the rubber seal in the right place to get access to the mounts. Sound feasible? Thanks in advance. |
