We're considering a pop up or smaller hybrid camper but are having a hard time deciding what we are comfortable towing with our '08 Pilot EXL. We'll be having the hitch installed this spring, but not sure what else we need to consider - new to this, can you tell?
For those of you towing smaller campers, what kind of tongue weights and unloaded camper weights are you comfortable with? Any tips, tricks, suggestions, or things to avoid would be greatly appreciated! |

Make sure you have the steering and trans coolers.
Get an equalizing hitch. Keep your weight under 3500LBs, and, Enjoy. Trailer about 2500 dry, tongue is about 450 as loaded.

We tow our 3500lb boat. While it's nothing like our old Commander where you could barely feel the boat behind you, it still gets the job done well. We don't have the coolers installed but we only tow about 20 miles (at most) to the local lakes. Enjoy!
