Although they went out I fixed them relatively cheap and I was back up and running for the cost of a couple of car notes. for each repair. It still beats the cost of a new or used vehicle. My wife still loves it and it rides just like the day we bought it.

Only have about 63k miles on my 2006 pilot and I actually drive it alot less now because of a different work commute so therefore I plan to keep it till it burns. And I'm prepared to pay for a new tranny down the line if needed but no I have no transmission issues.

Have our '07 4WD w/Ent. It duties primarily as tow vehicle (SeaDoos) in the summer! 54,778 miles. Absolutely enjoy it. Wife will be getting into a 2012 Pilot this summer. The '07 may be a hand-me-down to one of our kids, not soon tho!!

As I mentioned in another posting, we purchased my wife's 2007 LX a week ago with 25,700 miles on it. She drives about 13,000 miles a year.
I told her that most Pilots run into their 200,000's if maintained dilligently. We did some math, assuming the Pilot reaches it's 200,000th mile. She should have the car for another 13 years...comfortably. That would put her at (shhhh...don't anyone tell her I told you) about 64 years old when it MIGHT be time for a new one. And that, my friends, is why we like, and buy ...Honda's. |

I have 186,000 on a 2004 LX with original transmission and engine.....lots of interstate miles on it, but less so now that I'm retired.
I am currently trying to resolve a hard starting issue that's getting expensive (fuel pump, injectors and high mileage valve adjustment). I've never been a huge fan of this Pilot but objectively, it has been a very reliable workhorse for me. My mileage has consistently been around 20 mpg (though with this latest go-round it has dropped to 15 to 17 mpg. :-{

We are budgeting to replace our '06 at 10 years, like we always have. It has been a great vehicle except the gas mileage.
