Default Shift Points

I picked up a 2007 Pilot about five days ago. It has 59,000 miles on it and I'm definitely loving it. Its part-throttle shifts seem a little high to me. It will shift from 1-2 at 3000-3500 rpms. I read on here it shifts high when it is cold, attempting to bring the engine up to temp quicker. Even when it's warmed up the shifts seem kind of high, I can definitely feel every upshift and downshift. I do not have an owner's manual yet so I had to trust Yahoo answers in telling me to check the tranny fluid level with the engine shut off (every other car I've worked on the engine has to be running). Well, with the engine off and warmed up, the fluid level checked ok. The fluid did not smell burned or anything. I may end up changing the fluid anyways but I'm still curious if its shifting habits are normal?

I've had my 08 since new, and with only 25k miles, it shifts like yours.

Hey! First post!

I usually try to keep the throttle at around 2500-3000 for the lower gear shifts but as said your tranny sounds normal. And yes I've noticed mine shifting a bit higher when it's cold for the lower gears as you stated.

Thanks for the reassurance.
