Default Just purchased a new 2008 Pilot .. EX or SE?

Just purchased a new Honda Pilot EX. According to the VIN, the insurance company told me it's EX, but everything points to an SE.

It fully loaded + sun roof + DVD entertainment. But cloth seats instead of leather. Has Honda produced EX models with SE components??

In any case, I traded in my 2001 Honda Accord (the Pilot would be my 3rd Honda). The Accord is in AMAZING condition with 267,000km on (every single one put by me). I'm sad to see it go, but it's hard with 2 baby seats and strollers.

My wife doesn't know yet. The big surprise is tomorrow!

I hope the Pilot would be as good as the Accord has been to us (apart from brakes, tires, and typical maint. nothing needed to be done). Hell, the rear drums were first time replaced at 220,000 km!!! God, I'm going to miss that car.

Looking forward to driving another Honda into the ground!

Welcome. Not sure if the exact same models pertain to Canada, but the US SE has cloth seats, DVD, XM Radio, 115V power outlet, and sunroof. If yours looks like it has factory DVD and sunroof it is likely an SE.

This will help... 2008 Honda Pilot

Also, when looking up parts from the Honda database, it lists the SE as EX-SE. Because of that it will be listed as an EX by VIN.

Kijiji or craigs list!! I got my floor matts and runners (in like new condition). A lot of people are returning their cars due to their leases ending, and they're removing the extras they put on the car at time of purchase.

I have a 07 EX without the sunroof and everything else you have. Youd be paying more insurance if it was an SE. Be happy and enjoy a great vehicle!
