I wanted to get a general idea of all the problems that people have faced and what areas they fall into. Sort of a replacement list with millage attached. This should give people an idea what to keep an eye on and what where some of the success stories attached or heart breakers.
On my pilot, 07' LX 4WD 61k miles (owned since 43k) -Front Sway Bar Links @ 43k -Front and Rear Brake Pads and Rotors @ 55k -Rear Main Seal @ 60k <--- Goodwilled by Honda -Oil Pan gasket (Thought to be the leak that turned out to be the rear mainseal) @60k That's it for me. I've been very happy |

I replaced front link stabilizers at 106920 miles and I also changes the tie rod end dust boots and lower ball joint dust caps.
at 11000 the rear main seal started leaking and was fixed. that is all I have had to fix besides regular maintenance items(belts, filters, fluids and brakes). |

when I did my research before I bought my used pilot, I found 00-03 were no go and so was 05.............. not sure why 04 was not included, but there was a big disparity of tranny problems in those years

2005, 101k miles, rear drivers side electric window motor failed @ 60K, O2 sensor went @ 65K, air-con gives up when we drive over 600 miles in a day (not a typo we have done this on 3 different occasions), 3 x tpms went around 65k / 6 years old.

I have an 03 EXL with 168k (owned since 120k) . I replaced the motor mounts, tranny switches, brakes, end links, and the struts/shocks. My heated seats broke but they were dealer installed so that shouldn't count. The previous owner had the tranny recall done and religiously followed the maintenance schedule. Aside from that he had issues with door locks and the rear heater.

Have an 07 EXL with 103k, just replaced my radiator this week, was slightly leaking from lower drivers side seam, could smell it when hot. Replaced struts/shocks last year just because I thought it was time. Did Timing belt job myself a couple weeks ago for 100k maintenance. Did transmission pressure switches around 75k as preventative maintenance. Other than that, really no problems
