Hi, If the switch lights up, I would check the power at the connection to the seat and do a continuity check on the seat pad. I have never had to replace a pad but it can't be that bad unless of course you are doing it outside.

Yesterday I was playing with the infamous hood switch outside, rather chilly at 30deg F.

The heater coil in the seat is a very small gauge wire and over time they can break.
I had this happen on my 99 TL. I ripped apart the seat to get to the coil and found a break in it that had melted the seat cushion and almost started a fire. I soldered it back together and wrapped it with electrical tape and it worked like a charm after that. Last edited by Acura2g; 12-11-2011 at 11:17 AM. |
