Default looking at a 2006 Pilot tell me what I should know.

Guy I work with is looking to get out of his payment on a 2006 Pilot its sage brush pearl 4wd cloth interior with about 70,000 miles. He says he will sell for 14,000 and buy my 2003 Dodge dakota for 4,000. My dodge is in OK shape but it does have some rust and its got 120,000 miles on it. I was looking into a Pilot anyway in the next year or so and I know this guy takes care of it. He has it detailed by a shop all the time. Just thought that I would stop by and see if you guys have any insight.

Hope to be part of the clan soon. If this board is anything like the Honda VTX Owners Association board I'm in good hands!

I own an 06. It's rock solid and I really had no problems with it thus far. One thing to note is that it's an '06 so about 5 years old. In two years or so you will have to fork over $500-1000 for a timing belt/water pump/tensioner/etc job.

What to look out for?.. quite honestly nothing. Again I haven't had any problems with mine and I can't point out one problematic spot. Well ok one thing, the console light inside has a bulb switch that works when it wants to, sounds very minor right? Yes it is, so I don't let it bother me. As long as the maintenance was done properly then it will be good to go. Make sure to have someone (mechanically inclined person) look it over ofcourse.
