Default 2008 Honda Piloit rear heater and ac not working

I noticed over the weekend that the ac/heater for the second row of seats doesn't work. When you place it on manual on the dash board the light goes on by the knob on the rear of center armrest. I tried to locate the fan motor in the engine compartment like the book showed for a 2006 but couldn't find it. I checked the two fuses in the primary fuse box with a volt meter and they were good. thanks

It's probably the thermal fuse on the blower transistor. Once the fuse goes, the rear blower stops working. The transistor is just a fancy word for speed-control. And the thermal fuse is just an over-heat protection. There is a big long thread about this in here somewhere...

keep in mind that you have to have the front control set to "vent" for the rear to have airflow(with the exception of the fresh air that naturally comes in when you have the recirc button off). the fan motor for the rear air is located under the center console, its easily viewed from the drivers side if you snap the lower console trim piece off. youll see a 4"-5" round screen that is most likely clogged with dirt and dust if noone has ever taken the time to clean it. definitely take a vacuum to that screen if you have it exposed.

Yes, the thermal fuse is inside the transistor in the same place as a 2003. The transistor itself however is different in appearance. If I remember right it is brown instead of black, and more of a circular shape instead of square.
