Default faint high pitch noise coming from the rear?

05' EXL. 51k

only makes noise at certain speeds and usually immediatly after braking. must have the a/c and radio off to hear it, but definatly wasnt there a month ago.

rear diff? brakes? sounds almost computer like. very hard to describe. my pilot is under warranty till december so i'm taking it in, just seeing if anyone has any ideas of what it could be?

pads have tons of tread, tires only have about 5000 on them but doesnt sound like it could be either.

Probably pads just making the slightest continuing contact with the rotor.

So in the 6 years and over 50K miles you've never had the rear diff fluid changed? You do realize you're supposed to change the diff fluid every 15K the first time up until 30K and every year or 30K miles afterwards, right? If not, your rear diff is probably toast.

I dont think it's the diff, i listened closely with the door open going slowly, it gets louder with the brakes, so I think it has something to do with the brakes.

It's under warranty till December. Calling Palm Harbr Honda to get it in today!

so it was the rear brakes, inside pads which I guess was why I thought it could have been something else, couldnt see them.

went though old records and I guess the previous owner had a maintiance package and the diff fluid was changed @ 15 and 30, so I went ahead and got some to do it again.

Kinda wish it wasnt AWD, it's pretty pointless in FL.
