Question Keyless entry half works!

Hi, New-be here.

2003 Pilot EX-L, I have owned it since new, 275,000 KM's on it now, 2 transmission overhauls.

For some reason the right front and right rear lock in the doors do not work with the keyless remotes, and the toggle on the drivers main switch...

Any ideas?

Click on the "Search This Form" green tab that is on top right corner above the threads. Enter the words "keyless entry" and many threads will come up describing possible solution. You will probably need to replace the Lock Actuator(s) .

good luck.

If they both failed at exactly the same time, I'd look closely at the switch/connector in the drivers door. I don't know if the central locking relays through that point, but I wouldn't be surprised.

I took the door switches off and inspecyed...(my wife is a heavy coffee drinker and a smoker so the door window is always open)...I asumed the door switch panel was fried from spillage, or weather...it looks fine, and the connectors are OK as well. I will dig deeper....

Thank you guys, I appreciate the tips....stay tuned.

on Amazon.com search for Honda Pilot Lock Actuator. You will need to replace for each door that is not locking. Each is about $30. You will need to be very careful in removing and insatlling. I had a hard time putting back in the correct position and ended up breaking a piece of plastic the holds the rod that connects the inside handle to the actuater.

The moral of the story, before you it take it out make you know how it's situated..
