I have a 2007 Pilot EX-L. When playing a DVD, I can get the sound to come out of the speakers but I cannot get the sound to come out of the wireless headphones nor the wired headphones.
I can get the radio to play through both types of headphones. I tried to follow the instructions in the manual on two occasions reading slowly and carefully. I find the instructions confusing. Can you please help me....I am sick of listening to the kids' movies and would rather hear the radio on the speakers or nothing. Thank you. |

Bump...
I have the same issue as well. I think I've seen a thread regarding a bad batch of harnesses or bad DVD players being the cause, but I can't find the threads related to them... If anyone has those threads, please post in reply. I'm wondering if the best solution is to buy a portable DVD player and use the AUX inputs to get the headphones to work... might be the Cheapest solution rather then buying a replacement DVD player for the dash... Has anyone else done this? Has anyone fixed this themselves and what was the actual cause? How much does a new DVD player cost? thanks, JDad |

Are the batteries are good in the headphones.
Are they are wearing the headphones the right way. Yes headphones are directional! Shiny window like bit facing forward.

Headphones work for Radio, XM, and CD, but sound drops when you switch to DVD, which is really the most useful purpose when you have young kids
I haven't tested the hardwired headphone jacks for this yet, but intend to this weekend. |

Just checked out the wired headphone jacks on the '06. They also don't work with the DVD. All other Audio sources work.
The only other write-up I've been able to find regarding this is from a Honda Odyssey. Something about a bad cable between DVD and ??? Has anyone else has this issue and what is the solution for the pilot? thanks, |

Ok, new question, does anyone have a wiring diagram, operational diagram, part number or any documentation regarding the connecting cable between the DVD player and the Head Unit? I can figure out how to get the console apart form other posts here, but will need some help specific to the cable, as I suspect that is the issue.
thanks, |
