4wd should have a 4wd drive badge on the tailgate and a VTM-4 button on the dash.

Default 2 wd vs 4 wd

2 wd, has no rear differential assembly at the center of the rear suspension
Easy, 2 wd only has one exhaust pipe tip vs two on a 4 wd

If you are still unsure, take a picture underneath the rear end of your car. Especially just in front of the spare wheel. And post the photo(s)

2wds also lack the driveshaft to the center of the rear wheels

Also...If you pay way to much for auto insurance you may have 4wd.
If you have trouble with the letter "R" and like hunting wabbits....You may have Geico insurance!!!!!!

I don't get the insurance or Elmer Fudd reference.

Not helpful.

Like jl_ss mentioned, the easiest way to tell the difference is the VTM-Lock button on the dash. If you just have a longer Pass Airbag Indicator instead, then you have 2wd.

Any reason why the 4WD emblem wouldn't be on the rear of the vehicle? I have VTM - lock button so it is clearly 4WD. Also where would I get an emblem for relatively cheap. Honda dealer wants about $20 for theirs. eBay perhaps?

They didn't start putting this emblem on until 2006 when Honda introduced the 2WD Pilot. Up until then they were all 4WD. So if yours really is an 06, it did at one time have the emblem. Someone just pulled it off (either stolen or damaged or fell off).

Part number is 52350-SH3-G11 and sells for around $13 + $4.25 shipping if you use coupon code GALAGA on OEMAcuraParts.com website.

$23 shipped here:

$18.95 shipped on ebay: 75719-S9V-A00 | eBay

call local salvage yards, its possible youll find one that was t-boned, rolled or one that rear ended someone, in which cases the emblem should still be useable.

For less than half a tank of gas getting a new one online seems the cheapest and easiest way to go
