already taken my car on the sand and the only woes i have is 8 inch clearance is not enough. then it will be reduced because i will deflate my tires.. moderate dunes are ok but not extreme one if you still want to maintain a decent maintenance cost =D

also no hi/low gearing

I'm glad someone was brave enough to try sand. Is your Pilot 4 Wheel Drive?

What part of the underside made "first contact?"

yes its 4wd

my first try it seems the pilot is doing well but on the second session when im kind of got a hold of it. got too cocky, kept bashing my front and i ripped off my mud guards. its a good thing that part is flexible and cheap to replace. that is the one that covers the rear part of the front bumper. but still managed to climb the pilot on a bumpy sand mountain

also forgot to remove my front hook so it got bent from the impact when i go downhill.
