Default Timbren system for towing

I have a 2008 Pilot and tow a 2000 lbs boat with about 150-200 lbs tongue weight. My Pilot sags about 2" with the boat on which causes front end lightness and badly aimed headlights. Asking around several performance shops around here I was directed to Vehicle Suspension Kits - Timbren Suspension Enhancement Systems. I talked to their tech support and they assured me that their HROD2 spring would solve my problem. Well, $199 for the spring and $200 to install later, my Pilot still sags 2"! When I called Timbren to complain they said I needed a stronger spring (Thanks, why didn't you tell me that first!) and would send me a A00720-75POB free. Haven't installed the new ones yet still out the first $200, and now a second $200!

Firestone air springs are what you need. The Timbren system is little more than extended bump stops. Airlift 1000 installation on 06 pilot 2wd

I sure believe that to be true now. The 3 shops I talked to, plus the Timbren web site, plus the Timbren tech support, all touted the Timbren as a simple but effective solution..but $400 later.. it was all BS! Lesson learned, at least, hopefully, this thread will help someone else.

Get the air springs. I have the Timbren SES, and I honestly didn't notice any improvement with it.
