Default Accura Exhaust?

Hi All,

New here and was just wonderng if......

Anyone checked to see if an Accura dual exhaust from TL or Honda car can be fit for a twin system on a Pilot? Reason I ask is early this year prior to buying a pilot saw an Odyssey (white) that looked stock except for the Duel SS exhaust.....

Yu don't say what year, but lets assume 2003-2008 Pilot.

I would be shocked if the MDX through 2007 year dual exhaust didn't fit like a glove

Hmmm. Does the MDX have the spare in the same place? Sure looks like this could actually work. Have to check for things like the exhaust hanger locations.

MDX and the Pilot are chassis twins, and yes the spare is in the same place

I think people tried to get Borla interested. Don't think anything came of it.

The MDX or a custom exhaust made up by a local shop is likely the way to go.

I suspect you are right on there Rocky....shall check it out at my local exhaust shop......as my town does not have an Accura dealership.

Where could one find the part numbers for the MDX....is there an online shop manual for MDX and Pilots?

Thanks again....

Pilot data can be found at www.majestichonda.com

I don't know of an acura dealer with data online, but tim@hondacuraworld.com will help you. Customs to north of the 48 might prove difficult.

If I might revive the topic, my mechanic recently picked up a new Ridgeline as a 'work' vehicle. He changed out the stock exhaust. He considered Flowmaster but actually found one that worked out better. I don't remember what it was, but it sounds great! Not very loud at all, but at idle almost has a V8 rumble..pretty good for V6. LOL...no drone at cruise, and says he does feel a little more kick when passing.
Anyway, maybe some possible thoughts for the Pilot. I'll pass more info as I get it.

I would love to do this, have always wondered if Md-x exhaust would fit but looking at pipe sizes (inlet) and how 03-08 pilot's Muffler sits angular (back down and front up) I thought maybe it didn't work but would lve more info, far as aftrmrkt goes I'm afraid of noise at all, I like super quiet so be great to see more info on this topic- glad there are still dual exhaust enthusiasts out there.!

i thought about that as well. a muffler shop could probably attach a pair of Pilot mufflers to the twin MDX exhaust pipings...

the result might look something like this:
