Default turbos?

So would it be hard to put a turbo set up on the pilot, shift_boost? Any weak links in the bottom end?

Not sure if the tranny can handle that kind of boost, but it might be worth checking out though!

I think that most would feel that the problem lies not with the engine, but with the transmission, especially the early ones (recall city).

thought the older tranny had a fitting issue? A friend almost paid for a tranny at 90k miles on his mdx, I researched it for a couple hours but that was a while ago so I don't remember exactly what the problem was.

After they went to the stealer loaded with info, the dealer informed them the vehicle (bought used) had received a new tranny right before they bought it, the replacement was also out of warranty but acura still replaced it completely free!

The 2001/2002 MDX has Honda/Acura's old tranny design. I believe the 2003-2005 Pilot has the same older design. It fails big time in the MDX but not in the Pilot. The recalls installed an oil jet kit. Even though it doen't fail in the Pilot (better than average to much better than average CR reliability rating) there is not much margin in that old design.

Even if the tranny could survive the added torque the chassis is poor at putting the power on the road, especially with the gys on.

There was a member on here a couple years back with a turbo'ed pilot. He had his videos posted on youtube, but I can't find them now. IIRC, he had a 2003, and hadn't had any tranny problems up to that point. I guess my point is it has been done.

id worry about the irs, but then again I see people towing with these things, any towing failures with the tranny? Frame stiffeners like the xj jeep guys run would help the chassis greatly im sure.

So someone did it, good news, the performance category on this site is so dead I thought i'd fish for anyone modding these things. I thought the category name should be changed to "Anti-performance" You guys should check out what we do to new toyotas with a torch and welder. The engineers would cry. maybe a solid axle swap front and rear for the pilot?

Sorry, I was wrong. Wasn't a turbo, it was on the bottle. Here's one of the videos on youtube:
