Default increase fuel utilization

I know, that is a fancy rephrase for gas mileage, but I wondered if any of you had seen this:

http://www.preignitioncc.com

There are really 2 parts here, do either of them make sense, has anybody ever used one, have any of you ever installed any extra hardware to your vehicle that ACTUALLY improved MPG?

The site is kind of crap, but I can tell you that its gonna be snake oil. You'd have better luck with a Turbonator, or magnets on your fuel line.

If it really worked, the manufacturers would be using it to bring their CAFE numbers up.

I thought it looked a little shady as well. I'm wondering if the first company that retrofit an electric battery powered motor WITH the gas engine was as shady? Now we think gas-electric hybrids as being old technology.

"the PICC will increase the mileage of all personal vehicles to over 100 miles per gallon (city or highway)."

Yep, I believe it!!!!

I wish I was dishonest enough to sell crap like this!

I could be a millionaire!

Sorry for the bad link. It was a redirect from the link found in a Popular Science advertisement.

How does the Hydro Assist Fuel Cell system work?

The Hydro Assist Fuel Cell is a combination of long standing, proven technologies. It works by extracting a hydrogen-oxygen mixture from water by ionizing it with electricity from the battery. This mixture adds extra hydrogen to your fuel, which burns easily and powerfully and enriches your fuel mixture, giving you added mileage and power. The oxygen increases the octane value of your fuel. The system also uses six powerful magnets that ionize the gasoline to produce smaller molecules and help separate the compounds into simple elements so they burn more completely. And, a specially formulated “covalizer” breaks down the covalent bonds of the long chain gas molecules and helps “crack” and vaporize your fuel as well as increase the life of your engine. A perfectly balanced mixture of hydrogen and oxygen enriches the fuel so the computer can lean out the gas. Our special computer controls the car’s existing computer and keeps it from rejecting the savings.

Mmmm, pseudoscience.

Don't forget.

The 100 MPG carburetor was one of the highest hitters on my conspiracy theory poll!

Nope, not even that.

It is the unrealistic, but well publicised belief (or "lack of thought"*) that some how hydrogen gives you more energy back when burned than it takes to produce.

* most people asked directly can ration that this is not true, but they accept as possible systems that rely on it being true. I propose this is due to a "lack of thought" about the whole of the process.

Default It'll never catch on

Why would you run your car on gasoline when you can just fill it with water and throw a couple of fuel tablets in the tank?

What are you talking about?

I heard Hillary has the answer.

She is going to pass a law requiring gasoline to get at least 75 MPG.
Where most other laws have failed, she determined that it is because they placed the responsibility on the wrong party, the car company or the oil company.
Once it was determined that it is actually the gasoline that gets the mileage, it was easy to write a law to ad drees the issue.
Any gasoline found not to get the appropriate mileage will be outlawed!

This will be combined into the same package requiring mortgage rats to remain fixed for 5 years.
