First off, what is a Pilot SE model? Don't they only come in LX, EX and EX-L flavors?

My '98 Accord would develop a hesitation problem, and would stumble every morning at the same spot in my neighborhood while accelerating from a stop. It only occurred on my morning commute, at that exact spot.

That was my cue that the throttle body needed cleaning, and I'd be good to go for another 15-18k miles.

In the 20 months I owned my Pilot I never experienced the same thing, but I was on the lookout for it.

Is there a gear change as well at that point?
