I wouldn't attempt to find it on the T rated stock tires.

no way man! Find a good road and floor it. Let us know what you find out. I bet it is around 110 to 115.

I've never heard the Pilot has a governed top speed. Which certainly isn't definitive....

Most cars have a limiter that will cut the fuel at that speed. They also have a rev limiter that cuts fuel once a certain RPM is reached so the engine doesn't blow up.

I think a Pilot could cruise comfortably at 109. I had it up to 90-95 on a road trip, and it felt totally calm and buttoned-down. Not at all what you would expect from its size.

That is just below the "cover your butt" rating on the factory tires.

Let's see....

My '04 spins 2k on the tach at 74 mph.....

Let's say redline is 6k on the tach.....

6 divided by 2 = 3...... 3 X 74 mph = 222 mph which sounds just about right. Sorry, I'm still buzzing on overload from last weekend's Grand Prix of Houston.

That was my first champ car event and I'll attend every year from here on out. Cosworth V8's that usually operate at 12,000rpms, putting out 800 hp in an open wheeled car that weighs virtually nothing.

Accelerate from 0-60 in about 2 seconds, which is impressive but not their specialty. They pretty much have to be pushed from a dead stop when even in first gear. Or stall...

0 -100mph in something like 4 seconds, but the real joy is watching them come out of a corner and hit 200mph right in front of the main grandstand/startfinish line

At 12,000 rpms, your ears want to bleed from the noise, it is something that can NEVER be explained or described, only experienced.

Sorry to jack your thread, Pilot probably stops accelerating around 115mph is my guess.

Here is one of the cars specially outfitted to take another person along

Basically, ( and I read this twice at the champ car official trailer), for the low, low price of 10,000 US dollars, you would be driven by one of the pro champ car drivers around the track at exactly the speeds that they do during the race.

3 laps for 10k, but you do get a cert of completion so that you can show off to anyone who cares that you had the cajones to experience that.

If this is any indication, the Honda Odyssey (which is built of the same platform and has the same engine) has a top speed of 119 mph (drag limited) according to Car and Driver.

The OEM Integrities are rated up to 112 mph (S rated). I would guess that the Pilot's top speed would be slightly less since the Pilot seems less aerodynamic... 109 mph seems about right.

This topic has been discussed in depth before. Mine hit the ceiling (hard bump) at 109...

Try pushing it past 90-95. I bet you'll find the vehicle really struggles to increase speed after that.

It seems like mine loves the 90 to 95 range...Which is nice, except I haven't been able to convince my wife to let me purchase a good radar detector...Too much money already spend on the audio install.

Tell her that if you get pulled over for going 95 mph that the result (fine, insurance costs, etc.) will easily exceed the cost of a good radar detector.

Besides, do you really need to get her approval?
