Now I'm on the fence... I always heard these things were BS. I read thru 10 of 93 pages of ebay replies and all but 6 buyers in the last six months said it works great
2 said it was a wire going into polymer and didn't do squat... seller said it was his competitor leaving neg feedback & the other 4 he said did incorrect install. with 1700 plus positive happy customers... does it work? Any real life experiences out there?

It BS. It's basically a 20 cent resistor you can buy from Radio Shack. What it does is fool your computer thinking the air coming in is cooler than it actually is and makes your engine run richer. More fuel mixed with the air supposedly means more HP.

These things are total bull****. What they do is alter the resistance curve of the intake air temperature sensor to trick the ECU into thinking the car is colder than it is. This causes the mixture to enrich. While under certain cicrumstances this means more fuel being dumped into the engine and thus more power, this is a very short sighted scheme. In the end, it will use more fuel, not give more HP, and do a number on your emissions control equipment (all those unburned hydrocarbons going into your catalytic converter will not promote a long life.)
In short, all of those people with the positive feedback are deluded fools at best, complete idiots at worst.

There are ways to retune your engine via the PCM, yielding more power, these modules on ebay are not that way.

Run the numbers for customer satisfaction on the Turbonator, and you might just get the same results. Can 1,000,000 people be wrong? Of course they can. Doesn't matter whether you're talking about O. J., religion, or the 'flatness' of the earth. The volume and loudness of personal testimony doesn't count. Facts do.
