The Ebay ad is heavy on promotion (including a really annoying pop up), light on specifics, and has a ton of factual errors (such as saying the chip will work on all 1989-2006 Pilots). There were also some warning signs, like saying that it can be installed on any vehicle with nothing more than a pair of pliers. I don't think there are any computer chips in the Pilot that are accessable with a pair of pliers. I doubt this thing is a chip in the computer sense - I'm guessing some kind of inline gizmo.

I'd be VERY skeptical.

It's a good waste of your hard earned money. It's basically a resistor fooling your computer/MAF sensor telling it that the air coming in is acutally cooler than it really is thereby making your car run richer and using more fuel. Don't do it unless you have extra $$$ to burn. If that's the case, I can forward you my address if you have some extra Benjamins just burning a hole in your wallet!

hundles ('hun-del) n A unique car part on an "especial" car, as first discussed in this thread, and making a guest appearance whenever a recurring inside joke is called for.

Default Hundles

The Hundles are the mounting hardware for the Bindle Rotors. With the excessive speed of the Pilot while under the influence some flaky turbo wind intake spinner or a close cousin of a $25.00 computer chip that installs with a pair of pliers and promises some ridiculous amount of HP increase with equal or more ridiculous amount of fuel savings.
