Default Pilot in the snow!! WOW!

Hello all!
We just got our 06' 4WD EXLN Pilot (Stainless Blue) and have only put about 900 miles on it but we're LOVING it like every other Honda I've had

Anyway, we took it up to Big Bear last weekend and I was FLOORED by how well this thing handled the snow covered roads!! I never even considered putting on the chains I felt so comfortable and confident in the Pilot.

~Just wanted to vent my excitement about this great ride. I see there are a few people having problems with 'vibration' and 'transmission' ??? Thats Very surprising and saddening, But knock on wood, ours is typical Honda perfect so far.

The ABS did kick in, but it still handled very well and I was able to steer.

There were no moments at all

Truly, the Pilot is a blast in the snow. I'm told it's even better with better tires. Fortunately, I have the Bridgestones, which seem to do better in adverse conditions then the Goodyears.

We do have a good number of owners with a vibration at 70mph, but the majority of Pilots don't do this. Unfortunately, a significant number do exhibit this defect - and of course those that are having problems are infinitely more vocal than those that do not. Same goes for transmission issues, which are rare, but do crop up here and there (as they do with many automatic transmissions from every manufacturer).

Congrats on your new Pilot. I got mine back in Jan (Amazon Green, EXL FWD). Yesterday we got some lake effect snow and we eneded up with 12 inches of it. It drove out of my driveway like there was no snow on the ground. On the slipery highway it was very sure footed, and I got the OEM Goodyear tires. I do not have any vibrations over 65 MPH, and it is just as quiet as my Pathfinder which I traded in for the Pilot
