Default disc brakes for 06

im thingking of buying a set of slotted and or drilled discs for my 06. are the 06 disc brakes, front and back, the same as the 03-05? if they are, would there be problems or complications with abs or vsa if i use those kind of discs?
thanks

Where are you going to get the rotors? Are they shared with other platforms that might be more performance-oriented, like maybe the Acura RL or something?

Personally, although I think the brake system is probably very good, the front rotors are a little on the small side for my tastes. A rotor about that size was stock on the front of my 68 Plymouth Sport Fury, but was thicker. The Fury wasn't famous for braking power, and it might be a tad lighter than the Pilot... Of course we're not all out there burning up the autobahn like a 5000# Mercedes S-class, either.

Why? Are you having problem with your discs overheating? If not there's no reason to switch to slotted or drilled, as that reduces the surface area that the pads can clamp down on to stop the vehicle.

Nah!

Only helps in threshold breaking with superheated rotors.

Like into the "Esses" at Laguna Seca, oh, wait, we don't track our Pilots!

I've had warping issues on my Civic. So I put some Baer drilled & slotted rotors on it, with O.E. pads. It's still too early to tell if these will warp, but I can give a review.
There is a little wind noise from the holes when being applied, but no more than my Kawasawi. The pedal effort feels the same. If they get wet from rain blowing through the wheels, or washing the car they get grabby, or sensitive. But this goes away after the first couple of applications, and doesn't return for the day. It's only if the car has been sitting, not when driving in the rain.
What I do notice is when braking hard there is better feel. They definately work better during heavy braking. Me likey this part, because my drive to work has a 1,100 foot elevation gain/loose in 13 miles each way.
Yea, I'm happy with the rotors. Hope it helps my warping problem. When/if I have any problem w/ the Pilot rotors, I'll use these. I couldn't find a listing for the Pilot, but they have 'em for MDX.

Don't buy them from eBay. Get them from a reputable manufacturer like Brembo. Other members have done this.

I've got a can of red spray paint too. If I paint mine red do you think I can get more money for them down the road because then they'll be "high performance"?
