Default Winter Tires/Wheels

Hey yall,

I'm picking up a new Honda Pilot tomorrow and I want to get a set of winter tires/rims for it. Anyone know a good combo to go for? I want a "rugged" looking wheel that looks close to ( if not completely ) OEM Honda.

Thanks,

Get the steel wheels from an LX-trim Pilot.

If you'll always be driving on snowy or icy roads, consider a studdable tire like the General AltiMAX-Arctic or the Toyo Observe Open Country G-02 Plus, which has ground nutshells in the tread to give stud-like grip while being less damaging to pavement.

Otherwise, get a studless/friction type tire like the Michelin Latitude X-Ice Xi2 or the Continental ExtremeWinterContact.

I had Bridgestone Dueler A/T Revo's on my Jeep Grand Cherokee. They are great tires. In rain or snow, no problems. Somewhat "Rugged" look but quiet on the streets.

Best snow tires ever. IMO
Firestone Winterforce UV

A wheel and tire package from tirerack can be a good deal when you figure in cost to mount and balance.

Who knew they make snow tires on a tropical island?

I hope they go elsewhere to test drive them.

I have been using the Pirelli Scorpion Ice and Snow tires for years. They perform great in the winter on ice and snow.

That's exactly what I was thinking. OEM and inexpensive. I've used Bridgestone Blizzak's for years and cars and SUV's and love them. I was completely against snow tires until I tried them out, haha.

Hey there forum,

Having a hard time finding Honda OEM steel wheels for the 2011 Pilot.

Past Pilot I used the wheels that the vehicle came with and switched the tires seasonally, costly and inconvenient.

Any leads on where to get the steelies would be helpful. Ebay and craigslist were not of any help.

Any Honda dealer should be able to order them for you.

Or:

1) Contact site sponsor Tim Poliniak: Discount Honda and Acura parts and accessories - OEM Acura Parts

2) Majestic Honda in Rhode Island: Majestic Honda - The Internet's #1 Honda Automotive Parts Store

Was gonna say the same thing. I went for the Michelin Latitude though, due to the fact that in Winter I'm in hibernation mode just like the bears. lol.
