Default different front and rear tires for '05 Pilot?

I have an '05 Pilot with the VTM-4 AWD system. Blew out one rear tire that is not repairable and would like to know if I can replace just the two rear tires instead of buying 4 new ones. Would appreciate feedback.

On AWD cars or trucks the dealer recommend changing all tires, but its your call if you want to the chance.I have only changed 2 at a time and havent had a problem.

What cali510 said is correct but really, it's fine to change the one tire.

What you can do is goto a tire shop and try to find a used tire (same model) and chances are it might have close to the wear of your old 3 tires.

How worn are the old tires.

If they are very good, just replace the one.

If they are fairly good, replace a pair.
If you are picky you can run the new tires two PSI lower then the old set (keeping all tires above the minimum PSI)

If they are getting old, it is best to replace the set.

No matter what you do, stay up with rotating the tires.

Don't let them convince you to replace all four tires. You don't have to. It doesn't say anything about that in the owner's manual. The pilot is 99% front wheel drive.
