I love my 03 Pilot- but in the past few years I have dreaded driving our Pilot- The tire noise was bad- make you have a bad day bad- going to the gas station or on a long trip- turn the radio up cause of this $#%& tire noise bad.
Me and the wife looked at each other one day and said "it is time for a change" Went to tire place told them the issue and all we wanted was a QUIET tire and up pops the Yokohama Geolanders. A pretty decent price later and a good spin down some back roads and the highway and I wept. I wept for all the blasted days I suffered with terrible tires (sorry but those Goodyear Intgy) fall into that category. There are probably better treads out there, but these Yoko's have made my drive so much more enjoyable. P.S I scored major points wit the wife since this is her daily commute car. Do yourself a favor and check these bad boys out.....Oh and my Pilot has 134,500 miles on it. |

Cooper Discoverer LSX- I paid the same price for both sets of these. We put 35K miles on them- they still had plenty of tread left----
Thinking back they started out only OK but they were slightly better then the Goodyear Itgy's but still better and I felt I was going to have to spend much bigger bucks to get a perfect tire. I will be watching these Yoko's like a hawk. My ears and nerves are rooting for them to be "THE TIRE". Any watchouts from your experience- I live in the Carolinas so not worried to much about long lasting nasty weather conditions. A snow or ice storm every blue moon. There are many versions of the Geolander. Suggest you share with people which one you have.

Same thing- The H/TS.......And just took a short trip all highway driving and it was outstandingly comfortable and quiet. Handled higher speeds on off/on ramps. Really hugged the road.
Will update when we get some rainy and it's handling. |

Glad to hear your good fortune with the Geolandars..
I almost bought those, but went with the General Grabber HTS. I, too, suffered for just over 2 years on noisey tires ;( Back in Sept of 08, I replaced my Integritys with General Grabber UHP. Awful tire. The noise was almost like I'd put Mickey Thompson Muddin' Tires on it. Told myself I was going to get 2 years (about 30k) out of em' before I replaced them. I was kinda scared by my experience with the Grabber UHP, but the Grabber HTS is a completely different tire. Ride, noise, comfort, handling, has all been stellar for the last month. I personally like the Geolandar a lot. It looks good in outline white letters to me. Not a lot of folks go for OWL, but it made the Geolandar look meaner! Good luck with the new shoes!
