TPMS pairing on Snow tires ?

Hi,
I'm new to the forum and back to Honda after a few years with other brands. I have a 2011 Touring 4WD and since I'm doing a fair bit of driving upstate NY rain or shine or snow, I'm thinking of investing in a set of Winter tires.
I was thinking that I could buy the entire wheels from Tirerack and have them install the TPMS (they claim it's compatible with the Pilot). The question is: if I do that, I do I pair them with the car without having to go to the dealer?
