Default '05 Pilot with 18" black MSR rims

Bought my Pilot last year with only 24k miles, but with some fugly 20" chrome rims. Tires finally to the point of needing replacement so I went rim+tire shopping last weekend.

Scored a ridiculous deal on this setup, shop even gave me trade-in credit for the chromes.

MSR 045 18x8.0 inch wheel
Falken Ziex S/TZ-01, 265/60R-18 110H B

Black McGard lugs and wheel locks and valve stems on the way too. Just removed the chrome Pilot logo from the rear hatch as well.

Probably go with a limo tint in the rear 3 or 5 windows soon.

Don't go too dark in the back or you won't be able to see **** backing up at night. I have 13% over the factory tint and I wouldn't go any darker than that. The front windows I had them match using 13% over 22%. Yes - 2 layers of tint on the front windows. Matches perfectly but at night I need to open the door/window when backing up.

Yup, I made sure that was included in the installation. Most places will add $50-80 for this service since they have to take it out of the old ones, and rebuild in the new. It is so common now on vehicles the shop didn't even blink when I mentioned it.

I just had 3% tint put on the driver and passenger windows, and all windows behind them, plus a visor with 3% tint, and I wouldn't want to go any lighter. I have an '04 LX so it didn't come with privacy glass. As long as you live where there are a fair amount of street lights you should be fine.

sorry dude meant to reply to your message.. most of the questions you asked are in this thread

it initially rubbed in the front, when the front tires would turn hard to the left or right, it would rub just slightly on the front side. nothing major, no harm, and a year later now it does not rub anymore.

i would not buy bigger rims or tires though, unless you were getting lifters or spacers
