Default Ordered the Michelin LTX M/S2

Integrity tire have only 40k, but multiple punctures on 2 of them have forced me to get them replaced.

hopefully, based on the reviews here, it will last me longer than the OEMs.

question: how often do you rotate the tires? every 10k for the first 20k and every 5k thereafter?

p.s. I also bought the Road Hazard for an extra $70...

I've always done mine every 2nd oil change, or roughly 7500K. Of course now that the maintenance minder is stretching my oil changes to 7000K+, I might have to do it every oil change.

I have always rotated about 5k to 6k on my vehicles. Never heard of every 10k for the first 20k.

Enjoy your new tires

It's like buying car insurance, you don't need it until you need it.

My wife has had the bad luck of getting 2 side punctures this year and we got both of them replaced free of charge because of the road hazard warranty. I get it everytime I buy tires, it more than pays for itself.

Default MM and tire rotation

The MM can also remind you to rotate the tires. I have a question though, when you install a new set of tires, is there a way to notify the MM system that a new set has been installed and reset the tire rotation interval?

charly,

got it from Sears. I was stuck with the spare so didn't have time to shop around.

anyway, I paid $863 after taxes for 4 tires including Road Hazard plus I get a $70 rebate check in the mail. so, net paid was $793. the Sears people actually told me to come back the next day since Michelin was having a tire rebate, but I was a day early. kudos to them...

they were offering me cheaper tires/brands, which was surprising, but I said I've always wanted these when the time came to replace the OEM ones.

Paid Tirerack $680 for the LTX MS2 plus mounting/balance $80 by a local store.
Less $70 rebate Net $690. Having been quoted as much as $800 mounted/fitted for the same tire by local shops.
