Default Black Rims/Off road tires?

Anyone here have a Pilot with black rims and aggressive looking tires? I was thinking of powder coating my stock EX-L rims and slapping some all terrain or mud tires on my Pilot. I think the look would be sweeeeeeeeeet! Only thing I would need to find a tire that isn't too noisy on the highway. Please post a pic if you have black rims! Thanks!

I too would prefer a more "off road" look on my pilot. However almost every wheel you look at in the bolt pattern is made for a boy racer car. I wish there were more off road accessories out there for the Pilot. Any other pics as well as tire sizes installed would be great.

Hey Blackdragon - I've been weighing either powder coating my stock Touring rims or purchasing a set of 4 from Tirerack. Not wanting 20 inch rims, I think I'll go with powder coating. A local shop near me will do them for what I understand to be a reasonable price per rim ($50 to $85 depending on the coat - Advanced Coating Concepts). I've decided on picking up a set of winter tires - Continental ExtremeWinterContact's from Tirerack this fall and having them mounted with the coated rims before winter. It will likely be awhile before I have this completed, but I'll be happy to share when all work is done!

I like that look with the stock rims p-coated. If anyone has any stock rims to sell let me know. I bought my Pilot with 20" chromes on it and they need to go. Too flashy and way too heavy, hurts mpg and braking.

Will do! Hey try Craigslist.org I found a nice set in really good condition for $250. I am going to use the one's on my Pilot now for powder coating. Was quoted 240 for all four rims to be sandblasted and powdercoated black!

Does anyone know the offset of the stock rims? I have found some decent looking "off road" wheels with a zero offset. Most of what I have found in the bolt pattern needed have 30+ offest.

Thank you sir, it was the +45 I was looking for. I found a really sharp set but the offset is 0. Back to window shopping.

Welcome. I have been window shopping for a while now, but Honda did not do us a lot of favors with the setup for the Pilot. Lot of nice rims out there cheap on c-list, but nothing fits the Pilot. Real bummer. The 5x114.3 +45 market is really limited.
