Default Grabber HTS

Time for new tires.

I have almost 100K on my Michelin CrossTerrains, but with 165K on the Pilot I don't think I need another set of 100K tires.

So to save a few $$ (about $200) I thought I would try the Grabber HTS based on Tire Rack's reviews.

Does anyone have any experience with these tires?

Actually, I forgot that after all these years, search now works.

I just put them on my 2005 about 2 months ago. They replaced the WONDERFUL (sarcasm) stock Goodyears. First impression immediately after leaving the shop was a noticeable improvement in tire noise. They definitely are quieter- my normally unobservant wife noticed that on her own as well. So far they are very solid in the rain and seem to ride a little softer as well- though that again is in comparsion to the GY's. I think for the price they are a pretty darn good tire. I'll be selling the Pilot for a Sienna shortly so I'm not sure how they will do long term.

Pulled the trigger. TireRack shipped to the local NTB.

After noticing the lack of tread on the inner edge of the front tires, I decided to replace them before our next 6 hour drive towing the camper.

Definitely share your impressions after you drive on them for a while. What tires are you replacing?

Michelin CrossTerrains (OEM version) with about 100K miles, they replaced the original Integraties that had about 65K miles.

The CTs were a closeout deal at Tirerack at about $100 a piece when I got them.
I think they are the same as the black sidewall version with less prominent markings and a slightly shorter warranty (if I recall).

The Integrties were fine (Just OK), not as terrible as people like to make them out to be), but got noisy if not rotated.
The CTs were a little louder, but did not seem to be as sensitive to needing rotation, but drove MUCH better,

Impressed with the mileage you got from the Michelins.

My 2007 LX came with Grabber HTS from the dealer. I looked up the reviews and most people like the tire. It's not an aggressive looking tread it seems, but I have no complaints so far and I have about 1k miles on them.

100K? Highway mileage? We had the CT's OEM on our MDX. They were fairly crappy in the snow new, I can't imagine how they'd be when fully worn. The GY TT's are far superior to the CT's in snow.

Goodyears, as our British friends like to say, are "rubbish"

Have the grabbers. They are heads and tails above the goodyears that were on the pilot originally. The noise level is probably half of what the goodyears were. Even in winter driving/traction I am impressed.

Does NTB use a Hunter road-force type balancer?

Depends on the tire. Integrity's are crap. Triple Treds are fantastic in the snow for an all-season.

It was mixed mileage.
36 to 40 PSI and regular rotations.

I found the CTs to be OK all around. I never had problems in the snow with either set.
