You can try some of the ones rated as "fuel saving", but in reality, if you want to save fuel get the tallest, skinniest, and highest pressure tires you can find that fit.

Best bet is likely the OEM tire for the Ford Escape hybrid - it's the same size as the Gen-1 Pilot tire and is a special version of the Michelin Latitude Tour with ultra-low rolling resistance.

I just replaced the Cross Terrains on my wife's Pilot for the new Michellin Latitudes and so far have seen a 2mpg improvement in mileage. She was averaging 20 with the CT and has been averaging over 22 in the last 4 fillups.

If the same size tires give you a 2 MPG improvement, I would suspect something else like different inflation pressure, more careful attention to inflation, seasonal change in gasoline formula, minor changes in driving habits, or even the dreaded "selective perception".

Not really, its refueled every Friday evening at Costco, driven the same route to work each week, rotated and air pressure checked from Costco between 5-6000 miles nothing has changed but the tires.

When does the fuel in your area change from winter formulation to summer formulation?

How much variance do you normally see tank to tank?

If your Costco is like ours, I wouldn't put a lot of faith in what pressure they put in your tires. I've yet to have a new install or rotation and come out with 4 tires at the same (or even sometimes the recommended) pressure. I always check with my own gauge at least monthly.
That said, the first trip I took after I put on Latitude Tours I got 24.12 mpg (hiway only) and 23.62 mpg overal. That's a 7% increase over my 5 previous trips (all 6 trips round-trip to Colorado Springs). I run them at 36 psi, just like I did with the Integritys.
However, I had been running a test adding TC-W3 at each fill-up, so probably most of that increase could be attributed to that.
I think the Latitude Tours are great tires. On my trip to Colorado Springs last month, I drove about 450 mi. on icy roads and thru some pretty bad snow storms in NM, CO, and WY. Never had a single problem.

You're guessing again.

The Integrities are a pretty low rolling resistence tire. This is supported by the fact that most people report a reduction in MPG after swapping them out.

While researching tires, I noticed that certain sizes/types of the Latitude tires are rated as low rolling resistance (green tire) while others are not. This may help explain some of the variances in mpg.

If you are referring to the Green-X label, that may not have anything to do with rolling resistance within a given model. Michelin's response to Consumer Reports inquiry about the Green-X confusion was "it's more of a promise than a technology".
Sounds like marketing to me.

IN the MPG game 10+% is HUGE.

I am guessing, but it is not an uneducated guess.
