Help, does any one know what is the wrench size needed to remove the big center nut on the axle which holds the front brake rotor? I'm planning to replace the rotors.
Thanks. Pilot EXL 2003 |

You may want to check out the Brake DIY in the Maintenance section. There are 2 screws that hold the rotor. I believe that big nut you are referring to is for the axle bearings.

Thanks, guys that's correct. I replaced stock rotors with Slotted/Dimpled, what a difference. Just while braking there is a tiny noise like wind from the slot traveling around, but breaking is great.

Could someone confirm what size socket the 1st gen Pilot spindle nut takes for those who need to change out axles. I've been searching the threads for what I thought would be an easy find, but no luck.
Update: 24mm - Thanks Whizmo
