Default 09 crv rim on 07 pilot

Hi Guys,
I'm a newbie in both the pilot and the hp.org, just got some questions....
Will the rim from an 09 crv fit on an 07 pilot? If it will, could I put on 255/60/17 on them? The size of the crv rim is 17 X 6.5 with offset 50.

Check the last page of the Wheels & Tire Gallery. There's an '04 with '08 CRV wheels (I believe the '09 wheels are the same). Looks good IMO but the tire that was chosen is taller than the OEM spec. You're tire choice is just 2.4mm taller which should work out fine.

Another tire size to consider is 235/65-17.

Thanks ED27 for a very helpful reply.
I just got the crv rims on my 07 Pilot and I could feel the huge improvement in driving.
I used 235/65/17 Michelin LTX AS M+S and it's really a smoother drive.
Looks good, too!

The 255s will fill out the wheelarch very nicely and look good.

I'll convince my wife to replace my 235s with 255s.
Then do I have to go 255/60? instead of 65?

This is how it looks now:

But should you install that 255/60R17 tire on a 6.5" wide rim?

I think it looks fine the way it is. Very classy.

I would be concerned with the same thing. 1010tires.com has a great calculator and with a tire size of 255/60-17, the rim width range is 7-9 inches.

hi guys, besides checking with 1010tire.com, i also asked the tire dealer
where i got my tires, and he said it won't be possible. I might just keep my wheelset for now coz' it'll be too much to replace both.
Thanks, guys for such helpful infos.
btw, is there anywhere i could buy a set of chrome handle covers for 07 Pilot?

Those wheels do look great on the Pilot.

Use the Chrome door handles from the first gen Acura MDX

Maybe too unrelated to really matter but I have a 285 series tire on 7" wide rim on my 4Runner and I can even air down to about 15 psi when I go wheeling and still not lose any beads. I don't think you would have any problems at all with a 255 on 6.5" rim.

thanks, rocky. may i ask what specific year model of mdx has the similar door handles with the 07 pilot? i just found some place where they carry chrome door handles but they don't have some for pilots.

thanks, celtic11. i'll check on this, too.
