Wanted to share.....
43400 miles on the OEM tires (you know... those GoodYear Integrity tires.... yuck)- been sliding around on them for over a year - tried to explain to the wifey they are just crap tires and wanted to replace them for safety reasons (her car and she totes the kid around). They still had between 6/32 and 8/32 tread depth between all 4 tires - so plenty of tread - just that they sucked! zero confidence in those tires Researched tires and decided between the Bridgestone Alenza and the Bridgestone A/T Revo. (I have had the Revo's on my old 2001 Dakota and loved them) Sent the wife a quick email with 'pictures' and link to the tires and told her that one (Alenza) is a highway tire and the Revo was a 'off-road tire' that will be a little noisier. Off road would be better when we go to the beach and camping etc. Here is what I got back from her "Laura (co-worker) and I have decided on the off road style. Much cooler than the first option. " OK... that made my life easier......!!!! Got the Revo's installed the next day at the Friestone dealer - just $2.01 more expensive than just ordering (with shipping) from Tirerack! TireRack shipped price $539.92 (and does not include installation) Firestone $542.02 out the door installed - which included taxes, lifetime ballance and rotation, TPMS service AND oil change (with semi-synthetic) Plus got them done next day. Yes the Revo's are a tad bit noisey - but nothing like a mud tire or even the BFG A/T's. Wifey said it handles a little different (in a good way) - but she has only driven on them for about 150miles or so. I will post a picture of the tires on the car - makes the car look much better than with the Goodyears!

Good to see Firestone meeting the tirerack pricing head on.
I've got 22k on my Alenza, inc two winters. Still very happy with my choice. Sounds to me like your wife is more interesting in tire looks. Think jewellery!

My wife is an interior designer - so I think that helped a little!
When I called the firestone, the very first thing the guy asked me was 'What price did you find it on the internet?" .... this surprised me.

I have tried both the A/T Revo and the H/L alenza and would get the Alenza in a heart beat. it is quiet, wears longer and has good wet handling compared to other tires. If not for the noise howver, the A/T revo would have been in its 2nd term. extreme handling in the wet, snow and high speed cornering. but the noise is overbearing making you think it is coming from the transaxle.
