Default need 18in rim review

Hey Guys Newbie here,

I have a 2007 Pilot and was looking to get some new rims soon,(18x8) was hoping someone with 18s could give me a review of the ride quality and overall handling as well as mpg vs the stock 16s. any advice would be greatly appreciated

Thanks in advance
Maxx

When considering going to a larger wheel usually you also get a lower profile tire to keep the overall diameter the same as not to affect the gearing and throw off the speedometer. Unfortunately, when you go with lower profile tires, the ride is stiffer due to less sidewall flex. Mileage might go down 1 or 2 mpg because of increased friction by having more rubber on the road. Its always a compromise.

PS> Tire Rack has tire diameter calculators that you can use to determine the best match.

I have 18s on my 07 and have had for close to 30k miles. Ride is good. Handling is much better. The milage is not affected at all. Took a trip to Austin Tx this past weekend, got 25mpg going down and 24 coming back. Will never grip about that.

Nope, I usually spend money on the NSX not the Pilot.
